Your October–November 2025 Playlist: New Albums You Shouldn’t Miss

Despite everything going on in the world, 2025 has been a great year for music…and it’s not over yet. With some spectacular new albums releasing on vinyl in October and November, the bangers are set to keep your toes tapping through to the festive season and beyond.

Not sure what to add to your playlist? Here’s our selection of records you shouldn’t miss.

Taylor Swift – Life of a Showgirl

Release Date: 3 October 2025

An exuberant departure from her previous offering, Taylor Swift’s Life of a Showgirl was one of the most anticipated albums of the year. It’s poppy, dance-y, spangled with surprises, and oh-so-satisfying. A few of our favourite tracks include Opalite, Wood, Actually Romantic, and Ruin the Friendship.

The LP includes a Portofino Orange Glitter Vinyl featuring 12 songs, a double gatefold jacket, unique front and back covers, and never-before-seen photos and album lyrics. The CD includes collectible disc artwork, an eight-page booklet with never-before-seen photos and lyrics, and a double-sided folded poster.

Oasis – (What's the Story) Morning Glory? (30th Anniversary Deluxe Edition)

Release Date: 3 October 2025

The follow-up to Oasis’ debut album, (What’s the Story) Morning Glory? helped define Britpop as one of the iconic musical movements of the mid-'90s. Thirty years later, the album still sounds as anthemic, indulgent, chaotic, and brash as it did when we first heard it.

The (What’s the Story) Morning Glory? Deluxe 30th Anniversary Edition includes the 2014 remastered version of the album as well as newly recorded and mixed unplugged versions of five classic tracks, including Acquiesce, Cast No Shadow, Champagne Supernova, Morning Glory, and Wonderwall.

Richard Ashcroft – Lovin’ You

Release Date: 10 October 2025

The man who brought us Bitter Sweet Symphony as The Verve is back with Lovin’ You, his eighth studio album, which comes after a seven-year hiatus. Richard Ashcroft’s songwriting has matured over the years, with acoustic rhythms and orchestration that are more accessible to a wider audience. But you can breathe a sigh of relief, as the sound remains as distinctive as ever.

Featuring tracks such as the Joan Armatrading cover Love and Affection, Fly to the Sun, Oh L’Amour, I’m a Rebel, Heavy News, and Lovin’ You, the new album is both richly layered and stunningly simple and unhurried.

Tame Impala – Deadbeat

Release Date: 17 October 2025

Tame Impala’s fifth full-length album, Deadbeat, picks up where the Australian muso left off with The Slow Rush, and gets experimental with it. Many of the album’s 12 club-psych musical explorations are characterised by crunchy minimalism, textures and timbres, and what’s arguably Kevin Parker’s most playful vocal range.

While Tame Impala’s previous offerings were multi-layered and designed to be listened to with close attention, Deadbeat is more of an album made to be moved to. It’s deliciously danceable, and unless you’re made of stone, it’s impossible to sit still during tracks such as Loser, End of Summer, and Dracula.

Soulwax – All Systems are Lying

Release Date: 17 October 2025

Belgian electro gods Soulwax are back with All Systems Are Lying, their first new album in eight years. A raw, visceral mix of live drums, modular synths, processed vocals, and tape loops, All Systems are Lying shimmers with creative defiance, mesmerising textures, and unrelenting percussion. It’s powerful stuff. Our highlight tracks include Run Free, Meanwhile On The Continent, Gimme A Reason, and Polaris.

The Last Dinner Party – From the Pyre

Release Date: 17 October 2025

Sweeping, extravagant, and melodramatic, The Last Dinner Party’s From the Pyre is a brilliant follow-up to the quintet’s debut album. Darker and earthier than Prelude to Ecstasy, From the Pyre features character-driven songs pulsing with indie energy and baroque flourishes.

It’s rich, layered, and is absolutely worthy of your turntable. From the Pyre is proof that the Rolling Stones made the right choice when The Last Dinner Party supported them back in 2022, long before they released their debut single. Our stand-out tracks include Count the Ways, I Hold Your Anger, Woman is a Tree, and Scythe.

Pulp – Different Class – 30th Anniversary

Release Date: 24 October 2025

Pulp’s Different Class deserves all the attention it still gets. While firmly part of the Cool Britannia era, the album’s art-rock-meets-synth-pop sound and complex lyrical themes transcend the Britpop label. It’s catchy, even anthemic in some places, and captivatingly layered and refined in others, making it an album no serious music fan should be without.

Pulp’s Different Class 30th Anniversary Edition includes the remastered album, the band’s legendary Glastonbury performance recorded on 24 June 1995 and fully restored for this set, a 28-page booklet, previously unseen photos, the aperture sleeve design and inserts, and a poster.

Florence + the Machine – Everybody Scream

Release Date: 31 October 2025

If the first two singles were anything to go by (and they absolutely were), Florence + the Machine has delivered exactly the Halloween magic we hoped for with Everybody Scream. Released a couple of months ago, the titular single Everybody Scream is thrilling, chilling, and fulfilling. Welch’s powerhouse vocals weave through punk-rock influences to create one of the most intoxicating goth-pop soundscapes we’ve heard in years.

Slightly less eerie than the first single, One of the Greats is no less powerful, and tracks like Witch Dance, Perfume and Milk, and the Old Religion all contribute to making this a rich, theatrical, spine-tingling feast of an album.

The Beatles – Anthology Collection (2025 Edition)

Release Date: 21 November 2025

The Beatles are one of the most influential bands the British Isles has ever produced, and the 2025 edition Anthology Collection leaves no doubt as to why their music still strikes a chord in the hearts of millions of fans around the world.

This collection features newly remastered editions of the three Anthology albums originally released in the mid-1990s, along with a new compilation, Anthology 4. The latter features 13 previously unreleased tracks and 17 songs from Super Deluxe versions of classic albums. If there’s one collection that does justice to the Beatles’ transformative musical career, this is it.
